F-1 Visa Employment Regulations:

• On-Campus Employment: Allowed up to 20 hours/week during academic sessions.
• Off-Campus Employment: Permitted after one academic year through:
  • Curricular Practical Training (CPT): Internship or work experience directly tied to your academic program.
  • Optional Practical Training (OPT): Up to 12 months of work post-graduation in your field; STEM majors may qualify for a 24-month extension.

General Requirements for F-1 Students:

• Maintain full-time enrollment and valid visa status.
• Obtain work authorization before starting any job or internship.
• Employment with federal, state, or defense-related entities is generally prohibited.
• Apply for a Social Security Number (SSN) with proof of employment authorization.
