Frequently Asked Questions

Federal Work Study positions are open to domestic students who qualify for an award. They can find out if they qualify by emailing fws@post.edu with their name and student ID. These Federal Work Study positions are also labeled as “FWS:” on the posting. International students and students who do not qualify for FWS are able to apply to budgeted positions.

While departments aim for positions to be posted at the start of the semester, some positions are year-round and do not get posted as often. Although, positions do get posted at different times throughout the semester due to staffing needs, so it is always good to periodically check Handshake.

Students can reach out to Darlene Lawson at darlene.lawson@post.edu for any questions regarding student employment.

Students will be notified through email via ADP. If the hiring manager selects them, they will receive an offer letter. If they are not chosen, they will receive an email stating this and encouraging them to apply to other open positions.

We recommend that managers provide an update to Associate Experience regarding applicant statuses within two weeks. Although, that is not always the case as positions may stay open for longer due to the managers and departments needs. Please reach out to Darlene Lawson at darlene.lawson@post.edu to follow up on applications if you have not received a response after 2 weeks.

You must be selected to be hired for a position and receive an offer letter from Associate Experience. Once you sign the offer letter, you must reach out to Nicole Steck at nsteck@post.edu for assistance in gathering the correct paperwork to apply.

While Associate Experience posts the positions, they do not create jobs within departments. It is up to the departments and hiring managers discretion as to whether and when they would like to open a position, so Associate Experience is unaware of any future positions.
