ABOUT SLATE

At Slate, we’re building safe, reliable vehicles that people can afford, personalize and love—and doing it here in the USA as part of our commitment to reindustrialization. The spirit of DIY and customization runs throughout every element of a Slate, because people should have control over how their trucks look, feel, and represent them.

| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Slate is seeking a motivated Cloud & Infrastructure Intern to support the Infrastructure and Operations team. This role provides hands-on experience with enterprise Azure environments, identity governance, and large-scale IT infrastructure within a fast-growing automotive technology company.

The primary focus of this internship is supporting an identity governance initiative to review and reconcile Microsoft Azure / Entra ID user accounts with Workday HR records to ensure accurate identity lifecycle management and strengthen access controls.

The intern will work closely with infrastructure engineers to analyze identity data, identify discrepancies, and assist with remediation efforts while gaining exposure to enterprise cloud operations and IT infrastructure management.

| WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Audit Microsoft Azure / Entra ID user accounts and identity records
  • Reconcile identity data with Workday HR records to ensure proper account lifecycle management
  • Identify inactive, duplicate, or improperly provisioned user accounts
  • Assist with identity governance cleanup and remediation initiatives
  • Support onboarding and offboarding validation processes for system access
  • Document findings and develop reports outlining cleanup recommendations
  • Assist the infrastructure team with system documentation and asset tracking
  • Support day-to-day infrastructure operations and system monitoring activities

| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Education Level: Junior, Senior, or Master’s student currently enrolled in an accredited program.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program.
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Collaboration skills: Ability to work with infrastructure engineers and cross-functional teams in a collaborative technical environment.
  • Technical skills: Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms, identity management concepts, and enterprise IT systems.
  • Execution skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail when reviewing systems and user records.
  • Communication skills: Ability to clearly document findings and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred Skills: Coursework or exposure to Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, identity management, scripting (PowerShell), or cloud infrastructure.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.
